Eligibility for Pledging
As an honors fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi has certain requirements which must be met to pledge. Our Chapter Bylaws state that a student will be eligible to pledge after they have:
- Declared a concentration in Accounting, AIS, Finance, Corporate Finance, MIS or enrolled in the MSA/MST program.
- Attained a cumulative grade point average in concentration courses and electives, not including the business pool or business core, of at least 3.0 (where A is equal to 4.0).
- Undergraduate students may pledge without having completed a concentration course or elective.
- MSA/MST students may pledge during their first semester of graduate courses.
- Attained at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all college course work attempted, or at least a 3.25 in the most recent 30 semester units.
- Completed at least 30 semester units of college coursework.
- Have at least two semesters left before graduation.
Eligibility for Membership
As an honors fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi has certain requirements which must be met to be initiated as a Member. Our Chapter Bylaws state that a Pledge will be eligible to apply for Member status after they have:
- Completed the point goals for a Pledge during a previous semester in Beta Alpha Psi.
- Declared a concentration in Accounting, AIS, Finance, Corporate Finance, MIS or enrolled in the MSA/MST program.
- Completed, in addition to 60 semester units of college coursework. at least one concentration course or elective.
- Attained a cumulative grade point average in concentration courses and electives, not including the business pool or business core, of at least 3.0 (where A is equal to 4.0).
- MSA/MST students do not have a GPA requirement.
- Attained at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all college course work attempted, or at least a 3.25 in the most recent 30 semester units.
